About 40% plan to buy a car, and one in three aim for major travel or building savings, while marriage or children rank for just 20%. Nearly a third of respondents are still studying, over 20% juggle studies and work, and one-third hold full-time jobs, signaling early workforce engagement.
Two-thirds of Hungarian youth manage monthly expenses comfortably, but one-third struggle, with many pegging HUF 500,000 (about €1,300) net monthly income as the threshold for financial security.
Food tops monthly spending for 40%, followed by housing at 25%, reflecting inflation pressures and urban living realities for this cohort. Only about 25% believe they can fully fund their goals from personal resources, while one-third expect partial self-reliance, highlighting dependence on family or external support.
