Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország has announced a HUF 35 billion (€100 million) investment programme at its Dunaharaszti production centre near Budapest, its largest development initiative in Hungary to date.

The expansion comes after the beverage manufacturer increased net sales by almost 10% to HUF 263.6 billion in 2025, although net profit declined by approximately 15% to HUF 9.5 billion.

Announced on October 28, the multiyear programme coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Dunaharaszti facility, which opened in 1996. It will expand production and logistics capacity, introduce new packaging technologies and support exports to the company’s existing international markets.

New production line and warehouse for 30,000 pallets

The investment includes a high-bay warehouse with capacity for 30,000 pallets and a new canned beverage production line. Coca-Cola HBC will also expand its aseptic production capacity for preservative-free beverages and introduce paper-based packaging to replace plastic shrink wrap for selected multipacks.

The project was announced during an anniversary event attended by Coca-Cola HBC Group CEO Zoran Bogdanovic, Hungarian managing director Ágnes Kovács and Economy and Energy Minister István Kapitány. Prime Minister Péter Magyar also met Bogdanovic in Budapest to discuss the investment.
