Refurbished electronics platform Rejoy will hold its first-ever month-long Black Friday campaign in Hungary from October 31 to November 30, offering discounts of up to HUF 40,000 on smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
Rejoy forecasts a 40% increase in sales compared to last November, with most of the devices sold supporting 5G connectivity. According to Hungary’s telecom regulator NMHH, more 5G than 4G devices are now active on mobile networks.
Among refurbished models, iPhones remain the top choice for Hungarian buyers. Every iPhone from the 12 series onward supports 5G, and Rejoy expects strong demand for the iPhone 13 (128GB), priced at HUF 119,990, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (256GB) at HUF 299,990.
Other expected bestsellers include the iPad 9th Gen (64GB) at HUF 74,990 and the Apple Watch Series 9 at HUF 87,990, which offers pulse, blood-oxygen, and single-lead ECG tracking.
MacBooks surge as Windows 10 retires
Rejoy has also seen a doubling in refurbished MacBook sales in Hungary since early summer, a trend partly driven by users upgrading after Windows 10’s phase-out. The company expects MacBook Air and Pro models priced between HUF 200,000 and 300,000 to lead sales during the Black Friday period.
