Samsung Experience Stores in Hungary are now accepting used Apple, Xiaomi, and Huawei smartphones as part of a new partnership with refurbished tech marketplace Rejoy.hu.

This collaboration, currently available at Samsung Experience Store locations in Budapest’s Etele Plaza, Allee Shopping Center, Pólus Center, and the Győr Árkád mall, is the first of its kind for Samsung in Hungary and offers consumers more flexibility when upgrading to a new Samsung device.

On-the-spot valuation and instant discounts

Under the new program, customers can receive an instant trade-in quote for their used phones directly at the Samsung store. Once the quote is accepted, the device’s value is immediately issued as a discount coupon, redeemable on-site toward the purchase of a new Samsung smartphone.

Evaluation is performed using a diagnostic app developed by Rejoy’s parent company, ensuring that the phones are tested for functionality and checked against national blacklists. This process takes just a few minutes and does not require customers to ship their devices or wait for remote evaluations.

Rejoy does not require original packaging, cables, or chargers. Each traded-in phone is refurbished and resold in Rejoy-branded packaging, complete with a new charging cable.

What Is Rejoy?

Rejoy.hu is an online marketplace for refurbished smartphones, offering 24-month warranties and a 30-day return policy. Devices undergo rigorous testing and cleaning processes before resale.

The platform is operated by Flip Technologies, a Romanian startup launched in 2019 that has since expanded to Bulgaria and Hungary. Backed by a EUR 10 million investment from eMAG Ventures, Flip recently entered the Greek market.
