Wing has acquired the Olympia office project in Budapest from Atenor, taking control of a roughly 74,000 sqm complex comprising an operating office building, a structurally completed building and additional development plots.
The Hungarian developer plans to reposition the site as a mixed-use project combining the existing offices with more than 500 apartments, retail and service functions. The site is located close to Hungária körút in District VIII.
First residential phase to deliver more than 200 homes
The first residential phase will focus on converting the structurally completed building into more than 200 apartments. Wing expects sales from this phase to launch in 2027, with completion possible as early as 2028.
The development concept also includes additional services and green areas, with Wing aiming to create a more active urban environment on a site it describes as currently only partially utilised.
Olympia joins growing Budapest portfolio
This transaction follows other additions to Wing’s Budapest holdings, including Capital Square, the Greenway project and the development site at 39 Váci út, where the future KPMG headquarters is planned.
Wing was advised by Oppenheim Law Firm. Atenor was represented by iO Partners and CMS Hungary, while K&H Bank is financing the acquisition of the existing office building, with Baker McKenzie Budapest providing legal support to the lender.
