JYSK’s Hungarian business crossed the HUF 100 billion revenue threshold for the first time in its 2025/2026 financial year, as combined store and online sales increased 12.7% to HUF 100.3 billion.
Store revenue alone rose 12.4%, while the number of customers increased 6% in physical stores and 6.1% including online sales. JYSK said it served 212,000 more customers in Hungary than in the previous financial year.
The result compares with Hungarian revenue of approximately HUF 89 billion in 2024/2025 and HUF 76.5 billion two years earlier. Thus, local sales have increased by almost one-third in two years.
Four new stores bring the network to 105
JYSK continued to invest in its Hungarian physical network during the year, opening four new stores, expanding two existing locations and refurbishing another ten. The retailer now operates 105 stores in Hungary and employs more than 1,400 people.
Ecser distribution centre supports seven markets
Hungary also has a wider role in JYSK’s Central European logistics network. The company operates a regional distribution centre in Ecser, near Budapest, serving stores and online orders across seven countries, according to its latest Hungarian results release.
The warehouse can store around 210,000 pallets and has annual dispatch capacity of approximately 568,000 cubic metres, making it one of JYSK’s largest distribution facilities in Europe.
JYSK global revenue reaches €7 billion
JYSK’s global turnover increased 12.9% to DKK 52.3 billion, or around €7 billion, in 2025/2026. The company opened a record 168 new stores across Europe and Africa and completed 226 other store projects, including relocations, extensions and refurbishments.
More than 14 million new customers shopped at JYSK during the year across a network of more than 3,700 stores and webshops in 49 countries. The Danish retailer currently employs around 34,000 people globally.
