PHOENIX Pharma has expanded its pharmaceutical distribution network in Hungary with the opening of a new HUF 8 billion (€20 million) logistics centre in Győr. The 6,550-square-meter facility is a greenfield investment financed entirely from the company’s own resources.
The new logistics hub will serve pharmacies, hospitals and healthcare institutions across Győr-Moson-Sopron, Komárom-Esztergom, Veszprém and Fejér counties, strengthening the company’s regional distribution capabilities.
High-capacity distribution infrastructure
At the heart of the new centre is a 4,100-square-meter warehouse equipped to process up to 1,000 medicine packages per hour, significantly enhancing the company’s operational efficiency and delivery capacity.
The facility also includes a dedicated 114-square-meter temperature-controlled warehouse designed for pharmaceuticals requiring cold-chain storage and transportation, an increasingly important segment of the healthcare market due to the growth of biologic medicines and specialty treatments.
HUF 20 billion invested in five years
According to company officials, the group has invested approximately HUF 20 billion in development projects across the country over the past five years, expanding both its logistics network and operational capabilities.
PHOENIX Pharma currently operates six logistics centres nationwide and employs around 650 people in Hungary, making it one of the country’s leading pharmaceutical distribution companies. Public records show that PHOENIX Pharma generated net sales revenue of HUF 528 billion in 2024.
