Energy group MOL is expanding its Plugee electric vehicle charging network with the support of European Union financing, adding nine new charging stations across Hungary as demand for e-mobility infrastructure continues to grow.
The investment will be financed through HUF 393 million in preferential credit complemented by HUF 3 million in grant funding, supporting the rollout of additional charging capacity along key transport corridors and in major urban centres.
The new stations will be installed in Tiszafüred, Nyíregyháza, Siófok, Vecsés, Budaörs, Balatonlelle, Páty and Mosonmagyaróvár, strengthening nationwide coverage for electric vehicle drivers.
Expanding a nationwide charging network
The expansion focuses on locations that combine high traffic volumes with strategic importance for domestic and international travel, improving charging availability both for everyday commuters and long-distance motorists.
The Plugee network offers multiple charging standards, including CCS, CHAdeMO and AC Type 2, allowing compatibility with virtually all electric vehicle models currently on the market. Drivers can access charging services through the dedicated Plugee mobile app.
