SAMEDAY launched its official app in Hungary, making package management simpler, faster, and more flexible for its customers. This new development provides users with more options to handle unexpected situations.
The aap, which was piloted in May, is now fully operational. It offers real-time package tracking, simplified cash-on-delivery payments, and package delivery between individuals. Users can get information about their package status or even change the delivery method through the app.
Customers can track their packages in real-time and make cash-on-delivery payments easily using a bank card within the app. They can redirect their packages to another address or request an extension for package storage in an easybox.
The SAMEDAY App was first launched in Romania and reached 2 million downloads in its first year. According to Eurostat 2023 data, one in five Romanian online shoppers used the app, making it the country’s most popular courier application.
Over two thirds of Hungarians are active online shoppers
According to PwC data, 4.3 million people in Hungary, 66% of internet users, are active online shoppers this year. By the end of 2025, is expected to reach 5.7 million e-commerce users, representing 71.3% of the total population.
Hungary also has a high rate of internet and mobile usage. In early 2025, there were 11.3 million cellular mobile connections in Hungary, which is 117% of the total population.
